Lately, I have been addicted to avocado toast. At least once a week, I stop by Le Pain Quotidien for lunch and have their toasted avocado tartine with a cup of gazpacho.
While I already have a recipe for avocado toast, Le Pain Quotidien’s toasted avocado tartine is far better tasting than mine. I’m being honest. It is the addition of the smoky cumin salt and crunchy chia seeds that surpasses any avocado toast that I have eaten thus far. If you follow me [Malibu Kitchen] on instagram , you would have seen a photo that I took of my latest lunch at Le Pain Quotidien. Normally, I have lunch there by myself, so I like to take a good book (cookbook) with me to read.
Determined to make this avocado toast at home, I scoured the Internet for a like recipe. Imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon Le Pain Quotidien’s actual recipe for their this toasted avocado tartine – WOOHOO! No doubt, I quickly whipped up this toasted avocado tartine for myself. Seriously, it was so quick and easy to make. I have loads of leftover cumin salt – so I can continue to make toasted avocado tartine for a long time. I’ll show you how easy it is to make the cumin salt, which is the ingredient that makes this avocado toast so much better tasting than the rest…
Sorry Le Pain Quotidien, it may be awhile before you see me again. I’m going to be making your avocado toast tartine at home a lot!
