Ingredients

- 3 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/3 cups canola oil
- 3 eggs at room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure almond extract
- 1 1/2 tablespoons organic poppy seeds
- Glaze: (I recommend making 2 batches of this glaze; 1 for each loaf)
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon pure almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add in milk, oil, eggs, extracts, and poppy seeds and whisk for 2 minutes.
- Pour batter into two 9-inch loaf pans sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a tooth pick poked in the center comes out clean.
- While bread is baking, whisk the glaze ingredients together. When the bread is done, remove from the oven. Pour the glaze onto the hot bread and allow to cool.
