Ingredients

6 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 lemons, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds

2 bunches of broccolini with the very ends of the stems removed


Instructions

reheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine the garlic, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (if using).  Whisk really well to infuse the oil.

Add the broccolini into the bowl and mix with your hands to coast in oil.

Lay the lemon slices onto a large baking sheet.

 

 

Evenly distribute the broccolini over the lemons.  Roast for about 13 minutes or until the tops are lightly crisped and the stalks are just cooked through.  Transfer the broccolini and lemons to a serving bowl.  Toss to distribute the juice from the charred lemon rounds and add more salt or red pepper flakes to taste.
